I grew up in Cape Town and schooled in the Cape Flats firstly Athlone North, later Athlone High and matriculated in the politically charged Alexander Sinton SSS. This diverse background growing up contributed to my well rounded and comprehensive view of people and the world. I was privileged or I should say we were privileged at our school to be visited by the great statesman viz. NR Mandela immediately after his release from prison. This is where my foundation for excellence was established led by great teachers from Athlone North, Athlone High and most importantly Alexander Sinton special tribute to my history teacher (Athlone High), Maths, Economics, Afrikaans, and Business Economics (Alexander Sinton) and most importantly the great leadership of our Principal at Alexander Sinton. Went on to Leaf College under visionary leadership of our rector, Mr McKay later graduated at UCT under leadership of our world-renowned vice chancellor Dr. Ramphele. Tribute also goes to AISEC for exposing me to such great business minds while at varsity viz. Raymond Ackerman, Errol Finkelstein, Anthony Coombe. Started I started my professional career at KPMG with a diverse clients ranging from NGOs, financial services, diversified companies e.g. Old Mutual, Boschendal Wines, Anglo American Farms. After KPMG I stayed on at Old Mutual Fund Conversion Services (FCS). Then I started my public sector training/public service at Robben Island Museum under the humble leadership of Paul Langa, Nash Masekwameng and Denmark Tungwana coupled with our strong Audit Committee members Anthony Coombe and late Kimi Makwetu. This is where I saw the gap in the market that is the need for enterprise development for SMME hence I started Zweledinga to cater for this SMME market.
